Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night awake with daily problems... Smh I think... Does this shit ever end... Because I will always have bills to pay, shit to do, etc...then I awaken and realize - I have a big job to do alone that a lot of my friends wouldn't understand. So, I have to set the protocol. Heavy.

So I told this one singer I met in Tokyo that her video makes her look like a man and her voice doesn't help much... And she never wanted to talk to me again... Well it was true and she asked... But she was actually cute; just not too talented & tried too hard to act ghetto cuz she lived in NY... That's not a pass and ghetto doesnt mean black... I told her. She prolly hates me now. But that's something I can't overlook. Rest of my trip was love tho.

So last night I went out to this art exhibit Muir Art Gallery-And afterwards stopped at a bar close by to have a beer with a friend. While getting a drink at the bar this guy asks " who won the game" I shrugged my shoulders as if I didn't know because I didn't. Didn't really care... He makes a snide comment... " see man I love this place, but man you Texans " ok pause... First of all, I just didn't care.... Texas is a football state... Most ppl would care... I just don't. But I thought it was a gay ass emotional comment... Ignored as my heineken came with chips and salsa all for $8.00, amazed at how cheap it was. So I go back and sit with friends, start talking, guess who walks up. Dude.. " ah yah had to ignore me when I started talking about God hah" I'm at a loss for words now. Hahh... As slow as I am, a friend beside me says out loud... Man you followed a dude outside to talk... THATS GAY!. Then I realized... Dude is a homo! Flaming. I told him " man what the f---? I don't know u dude... That's some homo shit.... After that dude starts walking around suspiciously.... It got seriously gay... I had to walk up and tell him - man if you don't get the f--- away from my table - I will beat your ass .... You're claiming you're talking about God at a bar... Come on dude. Get lost... Gayest experience in my f------ life.

THE GIG
This is a Piano Bar Located in Yokohama city Japan. This restaurant bar has been in the business for more than 25 years with its own long term clientele.It is a very small pub, wonderful staffs in the club, in a beautiful town in yokohama city itself. a quiet city.Performer is singing with the resident pianist, it is not acoustic piano performance . This club operates its entertainment by vocalist singing with backing tracks. (e.g like karaoke tracks- very easy!!)
Song repertoires include songs by Alicia keys, Lady gaga, Beyonce, Madonna all the latest high energy dance music but also the easy listening old ballads e.g MY HEART WILL GO ON, I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU etc. The customers tip everyday ranging from YEN 1000 to YEN 10,000 on a daily basis if they like the songs that vocalist sings on request. Japanese like to give tips to the artiste if they appreciate artiste's effort, vocal ability and performances.
As a solo performer, sing 30 minutes per set (approximately 6 to 7 songs only per set)
4 sets per night
6 days a week -Mon to Sat. Sunday off. 1 hour break in between sets so artsite can relax at the apartment if he/she does not wish to hang around the piano bar.
SALARY - USD 2300.00 per month fixed .(get paid USD1150.00 every 2 weeks) not including daily tips.
Tips- shared 50%/ 50% wt Pianist. at the end of the night, performer & pianist will divide the money equally.
ACCOMADATION- Fully furnished Studio apartment located 10 minutes walk from the piano bar. ( the apartment is old but clean. All artiste keep the apartment clean during their duration contract staying at the apartment..The club and apartment are located conveniently around all the shops and supermarkets-expat area) KFC.Foreign Supermarkets ,malls ,small pubs, Macdonalds all located close by within walking distance.
EVENTS - Wedding & Special parties - Performer makes extra YEN 25,000 yen for 4 to 5 songs only if the event do not fall under performance time and venue. Mostly on sundays he/she might be offered to do the event and its up to the artiste to accept it.
Next opening date - January - 3 months duration of contract if you are qualified.
Accomadation & Air travel to & fro - provided by the club.
Meals - 2 meals in the club provided on working day Monday to Sat. dinner in between long breaks to eat in the club is acceptable.
Apartment also have fully equipped kitchen -shower, bath - air conditioning and single bed.
I will need video to forward to my ppl.
The video must be clear,clean, bright and vocalist with vocal range, energetic, melodious and their own personality and artistry.
Show time
1st set - 8pm to 8:30pm
2nd set - 9:30 to 10pm
3rd set - 11pm to 11:30pm
4th set - 12.30 am to 1am
